Where Materials Find New Purpose
At the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery warehouse, materials that might otherwise be thrown away are collected, sorted and given another purpose.
Donations from local businesses and the public help keep useful materials out of landfills while creating an ever-changing resource for students, teachers, artists and community programs. But this is more than a place where materials are collected.
Our Cathedral City Gallery & Studio is an active space for creativity and environmental education, hosting student field trips, hands-on workshops and exhibits that bring together art, science and conservation.

For more than 30 years, S.C.R.A.P. Gallery has shown that what we discard can become something valuable, a material for making, a tool for teaching or the beginning of a new idea.

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery partners with local businesses to give discarded materials a second life. Instead of heading to the landfill, useful materials become resources for students, artists and educators throughout our community. Keep S.C.R.A.P. Gallery in mind when materials are headed for the waste bin and donate them to our Gallery & Studio in Cathedral City instead. We welcome donations from businesses and the public alike.
we accept:
Art supplies, bottle caps, buttons, craft supplies, fabric samples and yardage, frames, gift wrap, glue, hobby supplies, instruments, jewelry, matt board, ribbon, sewing notions, string, trim, yarn, wallpaper, wire and other cool stuff!
We do not accept:
Clothing, kitchen gear, tiles, plumbing, Styrofoam peanuts, food packaging, house paint, appliances, any toxic or hazardous materials, liquids of any kind.
If you can easily recycle it, i.e. paper, plastic bottles and cans, please take it to your local recycling center.
