Where Creativity Meets Conservation

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery brings art, science and conservation together under one roof—and takes them on the road. Through the Gallery, field trips and S.C.R.A.P. Van Gogh, students of all ages learn by making, exploring and reimagining what others leave behind. Your support keeps those experiences moving throughout our community.

We Accept Material Donations from Businesses & the Public

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery partners with local businesses to give discarded materials a second life. Instead of heading to the landfill, useful materials become resources for students, artists and educators throughout our community. Keep S.C.R.A.P. Gallery in mind when materials are headed for the waste bin and donate them to our Gallery & Studio in Cathedral City instead. 

We welcome donations from businesses and the public alike.

Our Cathedral City Gallery, Studio & Warehouse collects donated materials from businesses and the community, keeping useful resources out of landfills and putting them back to work through art and education.

Guidelines:

Drop-off donation

Drop-off donations are accepted on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., excluding holidays and summer months.  In the event that the Gallery is closed, please feel free to leave your donation at the door and we will attend to it when we return. 

If you have questions or would like a donation receipt, please email info@scrapgallery.org with details about your donation.

we accept:

Art supplies, bottle caps, buttons, craft supplies, fabric samples and yardage, frames, gift wrap, glue, hobby supplies, instruments, jewelry, matt board, ribbon, sewing notions, string, trim, yarn, wallpaper, wire and other cool stuff!

We do not accept:

Clothing, kitchen gear, tiles, plumbing, Styrofoam peanuts, food packaging, house paint, appliances, any toxic or hazardous materials, liquids of any kind.

If you can easily recycle it, i.e. paper, plastic bottles and cans, please take it to your local recycling center.

Your donations allow us to take this unique educational programming for youth throughout Southern California and around the world.  S.C.R.A.P. Gallery leaves its mark by inspiring youth to play an active role in their environment.

Contributions also allow for ongoing field trips to take place, giving students the opportunity to visit the Gallery and partake in a creative curriculum focused on conservation, science, technology, engineering, art and math (S.T.E.A.M.). This type of curriculum exposes youth to once in a lifetime opportunities, careers and much more.

Where Your Money Goes

80% of your donation goes to core programming year round, this includes our mobile unit the S.C.R.A.P. Van Gogh which serves as an outreach arm.
