Something is fishy

We've got a problem. There is too much plastic. According to the United Nations Environmental Programme, the equivalent of 2,000 garbage trucks full of plastic are dumped into the world's oceans, rivers, and lakes every day—all that plastic waste leaks into aquatic ecosystems, polluting lakes, rivers, and seas. Can we do something about it? We sure can. That's why we ask you to join us for Plastic Free July, the global movement to let people know how to reduce their plastic waste and pledge to refuse single-use plastics whenever possible.

As part of our campaign, we will host our Plastic Fish Zero Waste Art Contest, our fun and creative way to learn more about plastics. We will also have two S.C.R.A.P. workshops: July 9 at the Cathedral City Library from 5-7 p.m. and July 19 at the La Quinta Museum from 10 a.m. to noon.
